The artwork shows the night sky filled with many stars and a shooting star in the middle.
The shooting star is painted with white paint and with occasional streaks of silver paint at the head and the tail is painted with silver paint. The paint is applied with impasto style for the head of the shooting star. As it gets further away from the head, the layer of paint gradually gets thinner and when it is nearing the end, the paint applied is so thin that it gives the illusion of it fading away or turning translucent. At the head of the shooting star, the paint is applied in a rough manner with visible brushstrokes and tends to smoothen out when it is reaching the tail. The stars surrounding are just little dabs of paint with a few shaped like a star.
The shooting star represents the desire to shine forever as the night sky looks endless with no boundary. The head is painted with a thick layer of paint as it represents an individual standing strong, shining like a star, able to overcome whatever obstacles to shine in the end. The tail is painted with a thin layer as it means that it whatever obstacles are just mere concerns of the individual and are not important as what he wants is only the essence of success and whatever that is in the way, he will find a way to overcome them.

The artwork depicts a group of candles surrounding one taller striped candle and the striped candle is the only candle that is lit up, illuminating the darkness surrounding the candles.
There are seven candles in the picture and one stands taller than the rest, and it has stripes on it, so it is significantly different from the others. It is also the only candle that is lit up. The background is dark and there is nothing in the background. The composition of the artwork is balanced as both sides of the artwork have equal weightage. The artwork is not realistic as there isn’t a floor to support the candles and they seem floating in mid-air. The background is created by pencil strokes being blendedtogether, however, it is not carefully blended as some pencil strokes are still visible and appear rough, which gives the background uneven patches of darkness. The pencil strokes used to draw the candles are well refined and the picture does not look sketchy.
The artwork actually tells a story. The tallest, candle depicts an individual, who is trying to achieve find his own path towards success. The dark surroundings represent the hardships he has to face in order to become successful and the flame represents hope, which pushes him to strive on. However, after burning overtime, candles melt completely. Since the tall candle is lit up, it will melt eventually and the flame will go off, this represents that at some point of time, the individual may feel depressed and have the urge to give up. However, those candles surrounding the tallest candle represent the people to catch him when he falls. The surrounding candles are not lit as candles that are not lit will last forever, which represents that the individual has the forever support and love from his family and friends.

The artwork depicts a view of the sun rising over the horizon at a serene beach, with a girl at the right side of the picture.
The horizon is distinguished by a line, separating the sky and the sea. The artwork is created using different values of a monochromatic colour - black. The composition of the artwork is asymmetrical as the right side seems to be 'heavier' as the girl is standing on the right, dominating much space and although the rising sun is situated at the left, it does not balance out the composition of the drawing. The background, which is the sky, is created by blending pencil strokes, creating a misty effect, except for the sun and its rays, which are white, making a very clear contrast between the misty sky and the shining radiance of the sun. The sea is created using short and choppy strokes but it is not blended as well as the sky to differentiate between the sky and the sea. Some pencil strokes on the sea are still visible, representing the gentle waves.
This piece of artwork symbolizes hope. The dawn of a new day is suggesting a new beginning, which means that hope is arriving. Light is often associated with hope and happiness, unlike darkness, which is often associated with depression and sadness. The girl, with her back facing the viewer, may be wishing as her hands are in front of her, hoping to have a bright future ahead, or hoping that she will be able to overcome her problems as a new day arrives. The calmness of the sea may be suggesting that she will lead a peaceful life in times to come. The sun rising symbolize night fading away and being illuminated by the sunrays, which may in turn reflect the girl's troubles are going to fade away as hope is coming.
